McDonald’s SHIFT MANAGER – Job Description

At McDonald’s, our shift manager is responsible for leading the operations of a McDonald’s restaurant during their shift. This includes managing staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, and making sure that all safety and cleanliness standards are met. They are also responsible for helping to train and develop staff, as well as resolving customer complaints.


Shift Manager - Job Duties

  • Lead and motivate a team of employees to ensure customer satisfaction, quality product delivery, and operational excellence
  • Ensure all McDonald’s policies and procedures are followed in accordance with company standards during each shift
  • Assist with training new hires and existing staff on proper food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and customer service best practices
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Handle customer complaints and inquiries in a professional manner
  • Process payments and handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently


Shift Manager - Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to direct and lead a team
  • Ability to resolve conflict
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A valid driver’s license is preferred but not required.

 

Compensation

  • Hourly rate of $17.00 - $18.75 depending on experience/skill set
  • Eligible for company health care benefits program
  • Eligible for company bonus program
