We’re opening a new McDonald’s restaurant at Linwell and Grantham (486 Grantham Ave. St. Catherines Ontario), and we’re looking for an experienced General Manager with the energy, enthusiasm and leadership to bring it to life.

Your opportunity

Working alongside the Owner/Operator, you will lead the restaurant through recruitment, training, opening preparations and daily operations. You will:

• Build and develop your team: Recruit, coach and support department managers, shift leaders and crew members.
• Lead opening preparations: Coordinate training, establish routines and prepare your team to open with confidence.
• Create a positive culture: Lead by example, recognize success and build a safe, respectful and inclusive workplace.
• Deliver a great guest experience: Inspire your team to provide friendly service, quality food, accuracy and speed.
• Own restaurant performance: Manage staffing, scheduling, labour, inventory and operating costs while growing sales and profitability.
• Protect our standards: Maintain strong food safety, cleanliness and workplace safety practices.
• Connect with the community: Build relationships and participate in local initiatives that make your restaurant a valued part of St. Catharines.

What you bring

Previous experience as a restaurant General Manager is required. McDonald’s experience is strongly preferred; experienced leaders from other quick-service or high-volume restaurant operations are also encouraged to apply.

You bring:

• A track record of leading managers and crew, developing talent and delivering strong restaurant results.
• The enthusiasm and initiative to recruit a new team and guide it through an opening.
• Practical experience with staffing, scheduling, food safety, cost control and guest service.
• A hands-on leadership style—you coach on the floor, communicate clearly and remain calm under pressure.
• Accountability, sound judgment and high expectations for yourself and your team.
• Availability for paid pre-opening training at established local restaurants and the flexibility to support the restaurant across its operating dayparts.

Previous new-restaurant opening experience is an asset. Above all, you understand that a positive team culture is the foundation of an outstanding guest experience and a successful restaurant.
