Full-time Evening Cashier / Line Cook

Location: McDonald's Colwood (1742 Island Highway, Victoria, BC V9B 1H8)

Available to Work: 4:00PM – 3:00 AM (7–8 hours per day, 5 days per week)

Starting Wage: $18.25 per hour

Carpenter Enterprises (B.C.) Inc is an independently owned and operated franchise of McDonald's located in British Columbia. We are currently seeking reliable Evening Cashier / Line Cook Team Members to join our team.

This is a permanent evening position responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, preparing food and beverages, and ensuring smooth restaurant operations during daytime hours.

Position Summary

The Evening Cashier / Line Cook works in a fast-paced team environment to complete assigned tasks during scheduled 7–8 hour shifts. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests, take orders, and process payments accurately
  • Prepare food and beverages to McDonald’s standards
  • Assemble dine-in, take-out, and delivery orders
  • Follow structured procedures and maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment
  • Communicate effectively with team members and managers
  • Adhere to food safety standards, company policies, and Occupational Health and Safety requirements

Qualifications

  • Must be available to work 4:00 PM – 3:00 AM, 5 days per week
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • No prior experience required; experience in food service, retail, or customer service is an asset
  • Friendly, approachable, and team-oriented

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Shifts of 7–8 hours per day, 5 days per week
  • Prolonged standing and walking
  • Frequent bending, lifting, and reaching
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Exposure to kitchen equipment and cleaning chemicals
  • Fast-paced, dynamic work environment
