Job Overview:

McDonald’s Restaurants of Guelph is growing, and our facility & maintenance team is looking for a motivated, energetic, responsible, and accountable person to fill this demanding position.


Pay & Compensation:

* Hourly wage $16-$25 per hour depending on experience.

* Salary position will be considered after a successful 6-month probationary period.

* Salary position range from $40,000-$57,000.

Locations & Hours:

* 5 McDonald’s Restaurants in Guelph.

* Monday - Friday (44 hours per week) with weekends off.

* On-call shifts - weekends and evenings only in emergency situations.

* Overtime compensation if required.


Responsibilities & Duties:

* Planned maintenance, equipment, and mechanical repairs, building services and repairs.

* Equipment and parts ordering.

* Maintain parts, tools, and equipment inventory at a central location.

* Coordinate repairs and service with outside vendors & suppliers.

* Equipment installs, training and efficiency planning.

* Problem solving & troubleshooting are necessary for success in this position.

* Assist with building & renovation projects as necessary.


Qualifications:

* McDonald’s restaurant experience is an asset.

* Driver’s license with clean driving abstract (may be required to obtain abstract).

* Strong communication skills are mandatory in this position, both written & verbal.

* Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

* Comfortable with daily technology usage including phone, iPad, and computer.

* Must hold or be in the process of obtaining a valid passport and be legally entitled to travel to the United States for training.

* Previous experience working/apprenticing in a trade and/or repairing and maintaining the following equipment is an asset and will be reflected in the employee’s total compensation. Taylor, Frymaster, Coca-Cola, Manitowoc, Bunn, SureShot, Electrical, Gas, HVAC & refrigeration.
